Periodic inspections, such as obtaining an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), are essential for both landlords and homeowners. For landlords, securing an EICR is a legal requirement to ensure the property is safe for tenants and to comply with rental regulations. Homeowners may also need an EICR for insurance purposes, as it demonstrates that the electrical systems in the property are safe and up to standard, potentially preventing claims related to electrical faults. Regular inspections help maintain safety, ensure compliance with legal obligations, and protect both landlords’ investments and homeowners’ assets.
